Aftercare
Initial Care:
-
Keep the Bandage On: Leave the bandage on for 3-5 days after your tattoo session. This helps protect the tattoo from bacteria and allows it to heal in a moist environment.
-
Remove Carefully: After the initial time, gently remove the bandage. If it feels stuck, you can wet it slightly to make removal easier.

If you observe any redness, rash, or irritation under the bandage, gently remove the bandage immediately.

Cleaning:
-
Wash Gently: Use mild, unscented soap to clean the tattooed area. Do this using lukewarm water and your hands, avoiding washcloths or sponges that may irritate the skin.
-
Pat Dry: After washing, gently pat the area dry with a clean, soft towel. Avoid rubbing the tattoo.

Moisturizing:
-
Apply Lubriderm: Once the tattoo is dry, apply a thin layer of Lubriderm or another fragrance-free moisturizer. Ensure it's a light application—too much product can suffocate the skin.
-
Frequency: Moisturize 2-3 times a day for the first week or until the tattoo is fully healed.

General Care:
-
Avoid Soaking: During the healing process (typically 2-4 weeks), avoid soaking the tattoo in water (e.g., baths, pools, hot tubs).
-
Sun Protection: Keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight or apply a high-SPF sunscreen after it has fully healed to prevent fading.

Itching and Peeling:
-
Don’t Scratch: It’s normal for the tattoo to itch as it heals, but avoid scratching or picking at any scabs that form.
-
Continue Moisturizing: Keep applying Lubriderm to help alleviate dryness and itching.

Final Tips
-
Monitor Healing: If you notice excessive redness, swelling, or any signs of infection (pus, fever), contact your tattoo artist or a healthcare professional.
-
Patience is Key: Remember that healing can take several weeks, and it's essential to stick to your aftercare routine for the best results.

Following these steps will help ensure your tattoo heals beautifully!
